Suryakumar Yadav announces birth of baby girl with heartfelt post amid IPL 2026 [In Picture]


India’s T20I captain and Mumbai Indians (MI) star Suryakumar Yadav and his wife Devisha Shetty announced the birth of their baby girl on social media on Thursday, May 7. The couple has been married since July 7, 2016.

Sharing the joyous news, Suryakumar posted a picture on Instagram of the couple holding their newborn’s fingers. He captioned the post:

“With giggles, bows, and dreams to unfurl- we welcome our baby girl 🩷🧿.”

On the cricketing front, Suryakumar Yadav was last in action on Monday, May 4, when he led MI in the absence of regular captain Hardik Pandya against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the Wankhede Stadium in IPL 2026. Chasing 229, the right-hander managed just 12 off seven balls, although MI went on to win the match by six wickets with eight balls to spare.
